Oooh! I love finding mistakes in books. But yeah, it really bugs me after.
At first though, it's like a treat, like, 'Oooh, I saw that, I saw that. You thought you could hide? No way, man, not from me.' Then you feel all special and proud, like all those primary school years really did do well. Then when you re-read it it's like, 'That bugger's still there?! @$*%! Go away!'
There's this program I use at school called cubase & it has a function or somethign called 'strummer' I don't know what it does yet, i just thought it was cool

I always get really confused. I was reading one sentence and it said 'booz' and I'm thinking: What is booz? They were talking about booze. I guess I'm just a person who needs things spelled exactly out to them...
And there were just so many in the book, it drove me insane. But I think all of the funny things in it made up entirely. I learned quite a bit.
OMG!!! I love funny stories from the Clash. Topper did this one interview once and had the funniest story about Joe.
For those who don't know, though considereding that all of us here are really Clash fanatics, we should all know, but just in case, Joe of course used to go by the alias 'Woody'. This of course is a tribute to guitarist Woody Guthrie. Also, Joe never liked to hang on to the past and was known to 'dust' certain aspects of his life he wasn't too keen on 'under the carpet', if you will.
So in this interview with Topper, he goes on about one time, I think it was a rehersal or something, and he still didn't know Joe very well. He was calling to Joe, and because of Joe's pointed ears, he was reminded of 'Woody the Woodpecker' and just so happened to call to Joe, 'Hey, Woody', as a joke. Joe of course, didn't find this funny and seemed furious as he wheeled around on Topper and said to him, 'Don't you ever fucking call me that again,' leaving Topper thinking, 'Gosh, he's quite sensitive.'
It's paraphrased, but just the way Topper tells it cannot be translated by writing. It's a hilarious interview, I thought it was funny to see that side of Joe.
Joe Strummer talking about his last performance with Mick onstage in 'Vision of a Homeland', 'Did you see that man on the stage? He looked exactly like Mick Jones.'
