Austraila, Sydney SuperDome, March 8th, 2005

I went to the Green Day concert last week at the Sydney Superdome and, to put it bluntly, I'd like to say it was the best time of my life.

Billie Joe was so entertaining for the 15,000+ crowd at Australias largest indoor venue. He never let the crowd forget for a moment that they were in the presence of the greatest rock band in the world.

The highlights were when they played new favourites such as American Idiot, Jesus Of Suburbia, Holiday, Boulevard Of Broken Dreams and Wake Me Up When September Ends. But also when they played classics like Bssket Case, Brain Stew, Hitchin' A Ride, Minority and When I Come Around.

The moment when Billie Joe pulled three people from the crowd to play each band instrument was truly something nothing short of entertaining.

Green Day finished with a cover of Queen's We Are The Champions which they sung with much justice to the original, and there massive hit Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life).

In short it was a brilliant concert and one that has to be seen to be believed. This sort of entertainment is something that doesn't come with other punk bands like Offspring, which is why Green Day are still after over a decade still at the top of their game.
