Buffalo, NY HSBC Arena, August 12th, 2005

Well.. Let me just say that for a moment last night, I wasn't sure if I was at a fucking KISS concert or Green Day. The pyrotechnics have got to go. They are soooo overdone. Bands like KISS have all that shit because they SUCK, and need to put on a good show to make up for lousy music. Green Day is too fucking good for all of that shit.

The setlist.. Give me a break. Usually I just want to hear the old stuff, but we didn't even hear the new stuff. No Letterbomb, Homecoming, She's a rebel. Not one damn thing.

Also, did I mention they played under 2 hours? They've surpassed themselves as a band again (the first time being Dookie) and they go to this short overproduced punk rock show. The first time I saw them back on the Nimrod tour, they just played song after song after song. Now, THAT was a concert.

More of my rant.. The acoustics sucked... I was front row against the bar so that probably had something to do with it... or did it? We weren't able to hear Billie Joe's guitar from right up front. It came from behind us. They turn it up so damn loud it wasnt THAT bad, but was definitly something you noticed.

Now, there were fun parts to the show. Billie Joe threw a line of Dry Ice before one song to accomidate a girl from NYS who had a sign. I think I was the only one who knew what he was singing. And after Time Of Your Life, he played Who Wrote Holden Caufield solo for a little bit for another girl from NYC who had a sign. That means, when I make the tread from Buffalo to Giants Stadium in Septmeber, i will get Road to Acceptance? I sure as fuck hope so... :)

Well, a lot of bitching their. Oh well..
