Buffalo, NY HSBC Arena, August 12th, 2005

Well Jimmy eat world was a pretty good live band, but I was there to see Green Day! After Jimmy Eat World, I had to wait about 45 minutes until the bunny came out, stumbling across the stage and drinking. Then the bunny danced to the Y.M.C.A. and walked (stumbled) off the stage. After that I knew Green Day was coming on very soon!! About 2 minutes later, they came on. Then they played American Idiot, then Jesus of Suburbia and Billie Joe said that JOS was dedicated to all the kids that live in small towns. Then they played Holiday, Are we the Waiting, St. Jimmy, and then Longveiw. Then Billie started talking about their first tour, how he didn't graduate from highschool; and how they've been a band for sixteen years and this is the best fucking tour they have ever played, it was funny. When they played Hitchin' a Ride it was crazy, especially when Billie Joe started making noises, that turned into moaning sounds, and then stuck his hands down pants and masturbated (that was one of my fav parts of the show). When Billie Joe did that everybody started screaming, it was hilarious! Then they played some of their old hits such as Basket Case, She, Brain Stew and Jaded. Then billie started talking about how they met the Rolling Stones and how the Mick Jagger has the biggest fucking joint in the world. Then Green Day played Wake me up When September Ends, it was beautiful because Billie told everyone to get out their cell phones ansdthen the lights went off and it was soooo quiet. When they played WMUWSE Billie Joe was in tears, you could tell because his voice and he wiped his tears during the song (my dad was even crying because it probabably reminds him of his dad). Then they did the make a band thing during Knowledge, with a boy as the bassist, a boy as the drummer, and a girl as the guitarist. After they finished, Billie told the guitarist to get her ass off his stage and then told the bassist to do a stage dive. I think they caught him, but it was hard to tell from where I was. They played Stand by Me while Billie Joe and Mike were lying on the stage. Then I think that they got up and played King for a day, that was funny to see all the guys with those funny hats on! Then they played We are the Champions, and Shout. They left, and the crowd started chanting GREEN DAY GREEN DAY GREEN DAY GREEN DAY GREEN DAY. They came back out to do the encore and played Boulevard of Broken Dreams really well, it sounded just like it did on the CD. They played Maria, and then I think Good Riddance and most of Who Wrote Holden Caulfield. In the end it was the best concert I've ever been to, I never wanted it to end but it did. My parents even said that they put on a great show, and know I think they like Green Day more now. I will never be able to look at my Green Day poster, or listen to their CD's the same way again.
