I think vegatarians and vegans are getting the wrong end of the stick.
we're designed to eat meat. We need to use animals, slaugtering of animals was in all the major holy books,, so GOD doesnt think its wrong.
He also provided animals for us, so... yeah... eat meat.
Humans are designed to eat all types of food. People who disagree with eating animals and animal by-products aren't getting the "wrong end of the stick" they've just made a personal choice about how they live their lives that you don't agree with. Vegans can have healthy diets without meat and dairy, there are plenty of subustiutes such as soya and vitimins and minerals can be obtained from other foods.
This may come as a shock to you but "GOD" didn't write the holy books, people did. And if you don't mind me saying so using a being that might not even exsist -and even if they did exsist you don't know their intentions- is a pretty stupid reason for eating meat. I really don't understand how anyone can think animals were "provided" for us to eat when there are probably millions of animals out there that aren't suitable for eating, but perhaps you think GOD gave us those so we would have nature programmes to watch.
I know GOD didnt write the bible but he used animals, And im not saying its wrong or anything to not eat meat, im just saying that kalot of religions dont believe its wrong.
And are you using caps lock on the word GOD because you believe thats what you have to do, make him noticable, or are oyu simply mocking me?
No, really I don't as long as it's ecological farming(I've been to serveral of ecological farms and they do take very good care of their animals).
In the summers they are at big(read:BIG) fields and in the winter they're not even tied up, they're in a big barn and they can eat whenever they want and they can get milked whenever they want.
So I don't feel that I'm calling it living is stretching it alot.
Yes ofcourse I know how some "farms" treat their animals, it's not humane at all, it's just cruel.
That's why I buy certain meat which are from ecological farms.
Ignoring the parts of a post that prove you wrong is rude and it isnt appreciated by the person who spent the time to make the post. If you cant argue with points, at least acknowledge them.

First of all, your answer does'nt have anything with the subject to do at all.
I think(Read: Think. Not know) you wrote that cause you don't like my oppinions of this subject "/.
Second..I did'nt have an answer to that part because I respect what you said and I didn't have anything to come with
Just a thought(not especialy to you): Why can't I have these oppinions?
I'm happy that you guys are telling me what you know and your oppinions but I why be rude(not everone, a few)?
I'm sorry if I sounden rude in my first port here, was'nt ment to be.
I don't want to discus this anymore so I'm leaving this thread with saying that I do respect your thoughts and oppinions, but just let me have mine for a start...

this is a debate forum, we discuss and argue our points. Thats the purpose of this forum. My post had plenty to do with the subject, my subject was you ignoring half of my post. Please tell me where anyone said you werent allowed to have an opinion, you can look but you wont find anywhere. But honestly, when you call someones morals bullshit, you can't expect a warm reply.

whats a vegan
a person who disagrees with killing animals for food, clothes, ect.
that's a vegetarian, vegans don't believe in eating dairy products or vegtables that have been pulled from the ground, they wait for them to fall or something.
You're mistaking vegans for fruitarians.
Vegans abstain from using ANY animal products or products tested on animals.
Pretty simple.
Fruitarians only eat fruits and vegetables that can be taken without killing the plant that it came from. like....
apples
oranges
tomatoes
green beans
what wouldn't be fruitarian appropriate
carrots
broccoli
Just putting it out there so that there's no more confusion.

I don't understand why vegans think fruit has feeling, there not exactly alive
A balanced diet includes meat for protein, it's also good for your jaw, are molars in our mouths are meant for meat. I only eat free range though.
All the stuff you get from meet you can get out off soy and mushrooms without the fat. Besides, animals that get killed usualy have a fear hormon inside theyr meet and they piss them selfs out of fear, so I realy wouldn't eat that if I were you. You have alot of stuff about that on that page I gave you a link to in Animal abuse topic
Thats no strictly true, you can't get iron, also your body needs a certain amount of fat. My friend was a vegetarian she had to start eating fish because her finger nails turned black and she could no longer sleep.
well, then she quite possibly had something else going on there.
What do you mean you can get iron? That's silly.
There's iron in loads of vegan/vegetarian foods.
You must be thinking of vitamin b-12, the one that's found in seaweed and yeast.

Well, I respect people that are Vegens, but personally there's no way I could stop eating meat and stuff. Killing animals for food is a way of life, I just don't see how that's cruel.
A lot of animals are born just for that and that's their purpose.
A lot of you have seen pictures of me, and I'm not exactly the biggest of people.. If I stop eating a lot of foods I won't put any weight on at all, so that's another reason..
But yeah, I think it's cruel with the battery farms where they coop the animals up in dark places and they feed them so much that they can't move and stuff. So that's why I only eat free range food.
haha! Another false rumour.
When I went vegan I actually gained ten pounds. And I know others who would either go up or go down to a normal weight after becoming vegan.

...Yeah. That's all I got. But, if you're sure it was an Iron definacny then she most likely wasn't meeting her Vitamin C targets, a vitamin needed for the absorbtion of iron. Either that or she wasn't eating healthily.

Yeah, or she could be anemic (I think that's the word ) or something, where her iron count is really low. My friend eats the healthiest out of anyone I know, she's not a vegetarian, but she still has to take iron tablets, her iron count was the lowest her doctor had ever seen.
i'm not vegetarian, because non of my family is, and even if i wanted to my mom won't let because she says we need the meat to live, that make us strongers... and something about the living hope...
im neither a vegan or a vegetarian, i love meat and people who don't eat it it think their missing out but i undertand why they dont eat it im i totally support them lol

My mom is of the same opinion (and meat gives you loves of protains, unlike must vegan food, so that must be what your mom is talking about), hence why since I took the desicion to become a vegetarian I've been having to cook most of my food, which is kind of interesting (okay, it all tastes like crap) or spending my own money ot get a large salad elsewhere. So I'm not too sure you'd need your mom to agree to it to become a vegetarian if you really can find the will power within yourself (sounds cheesy I know). Besides, maybe when your mom realizes you're serious about this and that the vegan diet isn't affecting you she might start to support it. At least that's been my case.
I know thinking about being a vegetarian sounds hard, but then again, it doesn't. Meat isn't the only food out there. There's a TON! Fruits, vegetables, grains.. And let's not forget the CANDY! Okay, that was stupid.
Anyway, I was one for almost 6 months. Then it fell apart. I started it up for like 3 weeks and it crashed again. I've been one for like 4 days though. =D Yeah man, rightous. Mwaha. So yeah.

I'm not a vegan, but I am a strict vegetarian who doesn't eat eggs or drink milk (although I'm really quite slack when it comes to things like cake which, more often than not, has eggs AND milk in).
Woo! It's a week today. Hopefully it lasts for months again.
Yeah, I knew this girl who said she was one for 7 months. Yeah.. she was pretty big. She ate a lot of junk food. Like I said, there's a lot of food out there. But not all of it is healthy.
Didn't help she sat around all day at the computer. Yah know what I'm sayin'? XD
