do you think God should have created a race of perfect beings? Nothing bad ever happens, just perfection?
I'm not going at the cliche "everything would be boring" angle, but I'm going at the "there would be no use for life" angle
think about it, if you have no motivation of living, live for the challenge of living in a third world country, if you're in an educated developed society, live for improving it's commercialism problems and other shit like that
God created beings that could purposly live for five billion years, perfect people in a perfect world would realize that there is no reason, ergo - no existence
think about it, would you rather have no world, or flawed world?
developed countries can thrive for the poetry and philosiphy that's still left to be discovered
God has a plan for everything, just because you question him doesn't mean he has a wiser answer (come on, you don't think you could trap God, even if you don't believe in him; think for a second about it, all of the people who gave up money and time for tsunami and hurricane victims.....it also showed the weakness of society in certain countries, making money off of artists joining for a "cause" and making more money off of good P.R.)
life would be meaningless without flaws, no matter how trivial the reason, bad things will happen, but just think about the possibilities
try to be open-minded (not saying you aren't, though I'm quick to accuse most people), I've been athiest, Protestant, Catholic, Christian, and once I almost converted to Judism
I've been Christian for five years, I now understand that if you look at the morals that benifit all human kind, The Bible has the best representation (other than the whole "gays can't have sex" thing, but that's one flaw I found out of the rest of the New Testament......and God is a higher power, he probably has an excellent reason)
just think about the possibility seriously, "debate" shouldn't mean argument, it should be
discussion |

if we were all perfect then life would be boring. no, if it were boring then it would be flawed
think about it
in a perfect world, there would be no boredom, but there's also no reason to live, which isn't a negative thing; but life would cease to exist |

For some people. Well most. I can definatly see a point in your argument.
Me? I'd love it. If the world was perfect, right now I'd be living in a forest, living in a world of constant ritual, tantric sex and meditation. That, my friend, is bliss. Perfect bliss. |
