But he was trying to control the band a little bit... although I guess you always need someone like that: a leader.

Im just sick of everyone at "first" (well on here anyway) being "oh Billie!" then suddenly "Billie's a dick". He's a dick thats a good leader. Not many people can control that amount of people like he can. The man has charisma. You have to give him that. But people like that need people to keep them grounded, puncture his ego from time to time, ect. But if they did - It wasnt just Billie.

I just think that Billie has a bit more responibility in the band because he is the one that writes the songs. I think the break up was due to the fact he is a bit of a perfectionist and he resented the fact that Mike and Tre would ridicule his songs. With Mike and Tre they thout Billie was pulling a bit more weight than he should. They all have there points, it was just Billie Joe's fault.

Didnt say it was just his fault, I said it in a bad way but I didnt mean it that it was just his fault >_< of course Tre and Mike contributed somewhat but it seems a little like he was acting like it was his band

And I wouldn't have discovered Green Day because, I mean, I heard a lot of their old stuff on the radio, but I fell in love with Boulevarde of Broken Dreams when it was playing one morning on the radio. My brother got me into them more one night when I saw him watching the video for BOBD with his friend, and I didn't know what Green Day's name is, and he told me. And I would be a prep clone.

The funny thing Is I really don't like it that much, I dont not like it, but yeah. I just don't think they should be demeaned for it. Afterall the work and effort that went in to it.
