And just for the record: I officially hate this thread. What they said... I've been a fan of GD since Dookie came out and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I used to be a big fan, but they just don't mean much at all to me anymore. The repetition of songs is getting far too annoying, and since American Idiot, it seems that they're losing their touch. I've heard to much of them, and I don't really like them now. And besides, at some point in time, we're all going to get tired of them.

How can I just stop loving a band Ive held so close to my heart since I was 5 when I used to fall asleep to them for example. Sure I understand why a lot of you do but daymn. Everyone changes, including Green Day. I like how A LOT of you cant see the changes between Dookie to Insomniac, Insomniac to Nimrod, Nimrod to Warning, ect. EVERY ALBUM HAS BEEN A CHANGE. Just because American Idiot is the newest album you all pay it off, and yeah its a bit more "pop-ier" and its a lot more 'edited' then their other albums but its still.... -sighs- So once again, Im not "over" Green Day and never will be. you have a very good point there. i think you converted me --angel music in the background--. but i still think that they shouldn`t have the movie come out. Yes my fellow sister, see the light! Hmm.... Its up to them and The Whos Tommy got turned into a movie... they're just doing the normal "story album" thing.

For example in Kerrang! magazine this weeks feature is 100 Best Rock Videos, guess who's number 1? And with the video for American Idiot which, to be honest, is not what I would call number 1 and nor do I think it is their best video though don't get me wrong I like it. Sort of. I just feel that they seem to be there all the time and although I'm happy for them there are times where I'll say loudly to the TV when watching an award show, "Please, enough already!" Rant over.
