No no no.
Unfortunately.
This is in the future... after Andie graduates colleges.
Around 2011.
Oh. I feel kinda stupid now.
Still..awwww. So Andie is...my age. That's only four years difference. Now I feel even more stupid. When you said your parents gave you shit about her age, I thought she was like, 13 or something. Andie's 15. She graduates in 2009. |

And we don't currently live in the same state. |

She lives in California right now.
I live in Nebraska currently, but I'm moving to California this summer.
In California it's illegal to have sex with a minor. |

| January 30th, 2007 at 07:58am druscilla_nesser:emo princess:ofcourse they wont love the children any less but think about it, when the kid goes to school other kids will ask, "why have you got 2 mummy's/daddy's?" or your child would turn round to you and say "why do i have yo mummy's/daddy's while everyone else has a mummy and a daddy???" and how will they answer that???? and the child will probably get picked on worse than the kids that get picked on anyways. you need to see it from a childs point of view if your homosexual and want to adopt. it could make them very depressed
Okay, my fiance and I aren't adopting so it's a little different than you're statement. We're carrying children through invitro fertilization and artificial semination. Anyway...
I would simply tell my child that sometimes women love women and men love men. There's nothing wrong with this. What's important is that she has two parents who love her more than anything and would do anything for their daughter. Does that mean that it's a man's sperm or aren't you going to use the genetics of your partner. Men are relatively useless, there are a few species which don't have any males, and now that's available to humans as well. Technology is really reaching out to gay couples, particularly lesbians, nowadays. |

Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 17669 | January 30th, 2007 at 08:07am Gender doesn't matter, especially if the adoptive parents are raising the child from a very young age, but if they adopt the child when (s)he is about to go into puberty and that, girls might find it easier to talk to a female parents about thing and boys talk to men, just because of personal experience. BUT when all said and done, it's down to the parent's qualities as to what sort of parent they are, not their sexuality.
Cos frankly, what kid wants to know about their parent's sexuality/sex life? |

It means I'm using my wife's eggs and an anonymous sperm donor's sperm. |

| January 30th, 2007 at 08:00pm I think homosexual parents should be treated like regular parents.
They have a child that they love, and they love one another.
In a word, family.
Love, and family, should be left alone. |

Love, and family, should be left alone. love worked for 60% of the U.S. and England now didn't it
we're talking about parents, not love
like in the marriage section, love has nothing to do with it
that's just a glittering generality
it sounds nice and fluffy, but it's meaningless |

Love and affection are very important to children.
For instance, if a child receives affection and is then denied affection it continues to reach out.
Love and affection are extremely important in parenting.
If you don't understand that, you ought not be a parent. |

If you don't understand that, you ought not be a parent. I could have told you I'm not fit to be a parent
and with that logic homosexual parents aren't the issue, since more than 60% of marriages don't have love
same with parents, the children of today are going to be hollow because of it, but the world is still turning so I don't see why this is now such a big deal
don't use love as an argument, that has nothing to do with parenting or marriage anymore |

And you don't need to be snipey to get yours across.
And yes, they do go together. I said they should be left alone because they have the same feeling for their partner as straight people do.
LOVE
And if you think love is meaningless, I am very sorry for you indeed. |

Actually, 60% of heterosexual marriages don't have love.
Homosexuals can't get married, so there aren't any statistics.
Erego, you can't say anything about homosexual couples and the statistics of their love.
You have no numbers. |
