I'm not even reading this because the state of genre's is retarded.
Rap is not a genre. It's the practice of rapping (the person who does the rapping being called a rapper), which is included in nearly all hip hop (which is an entire subculture and not just a music genre) as well as sampling, record scratching, drum machine, and sometimes beat-boxing.
I did a whole course on this shit and it irks me so much, and makes me hate genre's even more now.
