sooo expensive Buy them on ebay. I went to Walmart a few months ago, and they had Rock Band 1 drum kits for $10. |

Posts: 25078 | May 19th, 2010 at 03:14am I don't know what systems you both need controllers for, but X Box instruments are cheaper than PS3 on ebay, at least they were when I was looking for an extra guitar controller awhile ago. And if you're buying a drum kit and want to go and buy the cymbal attachments, there's nowhere to hook them up on the Rock Band 1 drum kit. |

Posts: 25078 | May 20th, 2010 at 02:59pm I've got a Rock Band 1 guitar, and the rest have been upgraded to Beatles Rock Band instruments. But I've got a stack of guitar Hero and Rock band instruments, since those bastards can't just make their instruments compatible with eachother. I usually play guitar and bass, because I'm not a very good drummer or singer. I'll only sing if we are going to lose on a song that I know the words to, so I might be all-time singer with Green Day Rock Band. |

| May 20th, 2010 at 03:39pm I prefer doing vocals. Its the only one where you need some form of talent to sound good rather than just inanely pressing coloured buttons in order.
Besides, trying to sing a power ballad with pig squeals or screamo vox is always fun. |

Posts: 10235 | May 20th, 2010 at 03:41pm I have Guitar Hero (world tour and Metallica) instruments, and they work fine with Rock Band 2. Maybe earlier GH guitars don't work with RB, idk I'm guessing now lol.
I prefer Bass, my fingers don't like chords much so I'm not so great on guitar above Hard. But I play Bass on Expert, still a few songs that are a pain in the arse on it though haha. I'm not great at drums either, although I haven't practised on them much. |
