In other news...I recently acquired Help! on DVD? I'd never seen it before but....omfg I adoreeeee it. It's so random...and the 'fiendish thingy' bit is, like, the best bit in any film ever, far as I'm concerned. xD

Ahh, gotcha.
I am, yeah...clarinet. But only temporarily...we had our last game yesterday [i.e., last day of marching band] so we start concert and symph band this week, for which I'll be doing tenor sax...then next year I'll be doing baritone since our only player'll be graduating this year and then I'll be staying with tenor so I can be in jazz band. And I'll probably figure out some way to get something ELSE in there somewhere, though at the moment I dunno how. XD But...I so love it. Band. xD

Ahh, well--we've played some sh*tty stuff too. The senior medley was mostly just a bunch of disco with 'Crazy Train' thrown in--but, hey. The seniors picked it, so..[shrug]

But...the Beatles show...well, I really didn't like the arrangement of 'Eleanor Rigby' we did. It made it sound, like...Latin...and there was a random trumpet solo out of nowhere that sounded nothing like anything in the song...anywhere. But then we did 'She Loves You' and 'From Me To You', and those were okay. 'Cept the marching; for some reason I really didn't like the drills we did for it.

But it was pretty cool listening to the announcements...talked about how George Martin did the string arrangement for ER and how SLY was one of the songs when the top 5 spots on the chart were Beatles songs and that kind of thing...I was just standing there all "=DDDDDD IKNEWTHAT" and whatnot. xD But...meh, I'm a dork. XD

But it's really cool that your band sounds so good...ours does too, usually...mostly when we're inside and the drumline isn't echoing off the stands. That annoys the hell out of meh, 'cause it's harder to tell where you are in the music and all that, y'know?

...We played a Beatles halftime show in band this year? One of the songs we did was 'From Me To You'. Today we had a slideshow and one of the background songs was the real thing--like, not the marching band one--and I damn near had a heart attack. I'd've screamed had we not been in the gym...and if I wouldn't have been yelled at for doing so. XD Just--to throw that in.XD

But--yeah. I have a friend who hates them; she says she doesn't like their "style" or some crap like that. I'm like--what? They don't even HAVE a specific style; they did quite literally everything...but no, she keeps on...[sigh]
