Flaming Phalanges!:

Dumbledore is so wise.

He really is.
I love in the sixth book when he is teaching Harry about the difference of going into battle with your head held high and being dragged into battle.

Yeah, Dumbledore really was amazing in that book. That bit was so good, and it was the perfect end to that chapter.

I miss Dumbledore too, but I didn't cry when he died.

When Sirius died, however, I sobbed my heart out.

And it's not like I loved Sirius anymore than Dumbledore, I just didn't cry at Dumbledore's death.

*sigh*

I cried more when Dumbledore died because the death of Sirius was all sudden and quick. They were in a battle and the next minute he is gone, but the battle still continues. And Dumbledore`s death for a bit more dramatic with the whole Malfoy-Snape thing.

I think the thing that made me cry with Sirius' death was Harry's reaction, with the whole "Then maybe I don't want to be human. I want out, I want it to end," etc etc.

Whereas with Dumbledore's death, he dealt with it a lot better, and so I think that helped me deal with it better, if you know what I mean.

Hmm.
Sirius' death got me crying from the initial shock, and than when Harry wants to see him, to find him, to see his body and Lupin is holding him back.
But yes, Flaming Phalanges I agree with you, his reaction of the death with Dumbledore and his frustrations and anger made me cry more than his quiet acceptance of Dumbledore's death.
Although, the fact that Dumbledore has immoblised Harry and he had to watch everything from under the inivisibility cloak was just...sad
the funeral for Dumbledore as well made my eyes burn.

Oh god yeah, when Harry can do nothing and he's watching Dumbledore (basically the person who's made him into who he is, in a Grandfather/Mentor type way) face his death and it's just so unreal, because I don't think Harry ever even considered that Dumbledore might die.

That was sad.

But yeah, apart from the quiet acceptance, he was remembering all the funny things Dumbledore had said when he was at the funeral, and he was all "What's wrong with me? I'm smiling" and it was just more comforting.

I dunno, I'm quite sure I'm rambling.
