Milton Keynes National Bowl - England, June 17th, 2005
It was a very hot day and everyone was starting to get impatient because we had been waiting for ages. Suddenly my favorite band of all time came on stage with American Idiot.
It was an excellent concert and I was right up the front. Billie Joe was amazing and has great stage presence. They sang, Shout, We Are The Champions, Jaded, Brain Stew, Welcome To Paradise, Wake Me Up When September Ends, Holiday, American Idiot, Time Of Your Life and a few other excellent Green Day hits.
The day was jampacked with bangs, explosions and at one point Billie Joe moonied. Green Day are a great live act and i would recommend them to anybody!
Jimmy Eat World, Taking Back Sunday and High Fly also played.
Billie joe involved the crowd in alot and he plucked 3 lucky people from the crowd and pulled them on stage to play their instruments. Tre Cool pulled very funny faces while playing the drums, Jason white was playing the guitar very well and mike was great on his base.
In my opinion, the best song they played was Hitchin' A Ride. They sound exactly like they do on the CD unlike a few other bands. At one point Billie Joe put his hands down his trousers and was making orgasm sounds. alll the girls were cheering really loudly at this point.
They also performed King For A Day where Billie Joe was wearing a kings hat and Jason White was wearing a humongus pirates hat.
One time tre cool got up from his drum kit with a micraphone in his hand and made a strange sound wich i think sounded like the cross between daffy duck and a baby.
Before Green Day came on, a drunk bunny came on hobbling every where. He attempted to dance to the YMC. He downed 2 bottles of beer and got the crowd going but it was clear that everybody didnt come here to see a drunk bunny, they came to see Green Day.
Green day left the stage with an explosion of confetti and a screaming crowd asking for more. But they didnt come back and everyone left thinking GREEN DAY ARE FUCKING AWESOME!!
I got excellent videos of them on my phone and way good photos. Great day and im never gonna forget it!
