Mohammud was the last prophet right? First the Jewish man, then the other Jewish man (Jesus) and then Mohammud.
Noah, because he recieved the Ten Commandments from God. I'm not sure about Jesus, I can't remember. And then, yeah Muhammed, the last prophet. Muslims don't worship saints because technically, they are people appointed, not God appointed. The prophets are chosen by God though, so yeah. The Islamic culture and beliefs are much more piously strict than that of Christianity.

Also, contrary to Christianity, in Islam, the prophets were always Muslims. But of course, in Christianity, they were Jewish until after Christ's death. Well, technically until after Christ's baptism.

That's what I like about Islam. People really...I dunno. Its discipline. No drinking. No greed. Praying five times a day. The sad thing is, in India these days, no one follows these rules. Auto-taxi drivers drink like hell and Muslim men buy women and go to prostitutes and urgh. Are you Muslim?

But even though Islam and Hinduism are like opposites, its just, I like Islam a lot too. Except for the terrorists who do shit in the name of God going "JIHAD BITCH!!!!!" Have you read the Chronicles of Narnia? Aslan says that whoever does evil in his name is actually sworn to Tash and whoever stays honest and true in the name of Tash serves none other than Aslan himself.

well tornado's (sp?) happen by themselves, and even though global warming has happened mainly because of us, it probably will happen someday anyway. And the ice-age happened by itself, so why can't evoloution?

god and evoloution are the complete opposit... God seems more of a fantasy and evoloution seems more real... Personally i don't think there is/are a god(s) because evoloution is still happening., its happening all the time.
You're an idiot. I'm sorry, but you are. Tornadoes do not happen by themselves. They happen when a clod front meets a hot front and the hot front is forced up, pushing the cold front down causing an increase in atmospheric pressure which is cause in a swirl of hot and cold air. This air rotates very fast, it's called a funnel cloud. As the clouds rotate faster and faster, the inside of the cloud experiences a rapid pressure drop and the funnel cloud the appears to move down to the earth and touch the ground. That is a tornado.

I barely know why I'm bothering to tell you. You probably won't get it. The last Ice Age didn't happen by itself either. Nor does evolution. Did you not read what I wrote specifically for you. You know what. I'll make a thread about evolution for you since you really don't get it.

Anyway, by saying they happen without anything to cause it, you're supporting the idea of God using science, which is good for somebody with the intellegence of a small pea. You're incorporating the idea of Newton's laws and thermodynamics to prove that God must exist if the temperature, pressure, air volume, energy, dynamics, heat, etc. is not present. Of course since you're argument is for the opposite, I assume you're doing this unintentionally.

no. what i meant was, tornado's aren't being created by humans, right. So they are happening without the help of people, hence they are happening by themselves.
... and i'm not trying to give the exact right answer here. It's just my POV.

We aren't here to give answers, we're here to debate them. And right now, your debate is making no sense.

Of course tornadoes (T-O-R-N-A-D-O-E-S) aren't man made! Someone would have to be crazy to make a natural disaster. Or at least, really affluential. I don't understand how that proves that God doesn't exist though.

Besides, almost everything happens 'by themselves' on your terms, without human influence. That isn't stating any sort of fact.

yep. it's not suppose to be a fact. it's an opinion.
but, to me, 'God' is just a fantasy.
but when i was in primary school it felt like we were forced to believe and we weren't allowed to share our opinions, and if we did we were told that we were wrong and "unfaithful to the religion"
but then in our last year of primary, we were told that 'God' is only real if you want him to be.
Now in high school, were taught about evoloution in Geograohy, and God in R.E. now, your disagreeing with me and i'm disagreeing with you.. I'm not trying to prove you wrong in anyway, Because there doesn't seem to be a right or wrong answer yet.
Now i'm fed up of arguing and i'm just gonna let you get on with this.

1. Opinions should be based on fact or beliefs. Since beliefs are based on facts, you should at least have some facts to support your opinions.

2. Who learns evolution in Geography?

3. I'm glad you're not trying to prove me wrong, because you're making no sense. This isn't an argument, it's a discussion. If you're looking for an arguement, you're in the wrong thread.

4. If you ever take up debating, always research your arguement first, and never back out.

I believe in a higher power aka a god, but I really disagree with organized religion. Nothing good comes of it, in my opinion.

I don't know if I'm unfair, but I don't like this type of argument against God. I've had debates like these before with my friends when I went to catholic school, where the trendy thing to do was be an athiest. I'm unsure about my beliefs but I know I don't agree with the depiction of God, I believe in a higher something. (That probably didn't make sense)

Anyway, I found that when talking to my schoolmates/friends that their biggest argument was "Well, why is there so much sadness in the world? Why are there wars? If God existed then why is the world like this? “ God is not Santa Claus, the world is not perfect. If God existed that doesn’t mean that the world would be like the garden of eden. After all, we were banished from that perfection in the beginning.

I don’t know a lot about religion. I should probably read the bible. But I just don’t find a statement like the one quoted, a well thought out opinion.

Because God gave us our free will. We're not puppets in some kind of ethereal world or whatever. And with that free will, we do stupid things like murder and genocide.

It all dates back to the most philosophical lyrics ever uttered on South Park the movie.

"SATAN: What is evil anyway?
Is there reason to the rhyme?
Without no evil there would be no good
so it must be good to be evil sometimes."

If we didn't have that, then how would we realise the difference?

That math doesn't even make sense. It isnt a one in 2 thing that god exists... take into account all the different religions, some believe in multiple gods, some dont believe in any supreme ruling god, ect.

Last night I was out to finner with some of my parents friends, and they got to talking about how many people were catholic around the table. And one of them said one of the smartest things I've heard, which was basically, you've got to believe what you believe, and what you feel, not what you've been taught, and you've got to bring your children up the same way. You can't bring them up saying "you have to believe this, and this is bad, and this is good, and you're not allowed to do that" etc, because then they'll just start ignoring the church.

And I agree with that. Teaching your kids that they have to believe that, and this is wrong is just teaching intolerance, and they're smart enough, they stop listening to you.

That's why I don't think it's fair for anyone to say "god can't exist" because to many, god does exist. It's just a matter of opinion, of the way you've been brought up etc, and there is no way you can prove that he doesn't exist.
