Have You Ever Lost Interest In Green Day?

i lost interest in American Idiot.....very, very quickly

but i listen to Dookie and 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours constantly
it's just the new stuff, it gets overplayed and old pretty fast

There's been a few times when I was like "Why am I so obsessed with this
band?"

And I told people I didn't like Green Day anymore...

But I got over it.

I'll never lose interest in them...

I lost interest in Green Day a few months ago, for a month or two. I have this weird thing where I get an obsession and my brain just up and tells me I'm not obsessed one day.

So I retired from Green Day fanfiction. [That's how you know it's my obsession, if I write fiction about it. Can't write it if I'm not obsessed.]

But then I came back.

Which has only happened one other time.

But even when I wasn't obsessed, I still listened to their songs and whatnot.

Green Day's a good band. Even if I lose some interest, I doubt I ever will completely.

I'm not listening to them as much as before.

I guess the denial of the Dookie era never coming back is kind of getting to me.

I still love them, though.

When I was off the site for 3 months...
Then I developed a love with Fall Out Boy.
Thank goodness it stopped when I was allowed back.

Exactly. That pretty much goes without saying they will always be one of my favorite bands, and no matter what, I will always hold some interest for them as time goes on.

Me too. Except they made like 2/3 of me...for the better of course. I've changed so much since I listened to their music.

I occasionally find new bands that i go crazy about for a while, but then I go back to having Green Day as my favorite band. What I dont like is the people that lost interest in Green Day after they signed to Reprise. I still dont understand why mainstream is so wrong.
