I'm from LA and I grew up hearing that kind of music.
Tupac not only was a rapper but he actually wrote poetry.
Rap doesn't always talk about drugs, girls or crime. It talks about some serious stuff in society, for example, Tupac's song, "Keep Ya Head Up" is a song he wrote about women who suffered out there in the streets. It's almost like any other kind of music out there, rap is just uses another way to express |
