A - when you look at the polls so far from the primaries, more people have voted democratic than republican. That doesn't always mean anything, because more people always vote in the actual elections than in primaries, but it's still a sign. B - There are alot of republicans who don't like McCain, that's why Huckabee has been picking it up in the last few primaries. I think a good portion of them will opt not to vote for either candidate. Now, that doesn't hurt Obama because they wouldn't be voting for him anyways, but it really will hurt McCain because he needs their votes. C- Independents tend to side with Obama over McCain. This could change, depending on how McCain chooses to market himself, but i doubt it will. |

Mycophobia Basket Case ![]() Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 15581 ![]() | I think Obama will win due to the fact that alot of Independent voters like him. And many Independent voters are angry at the republicans right now, it's not just the democrats. So I think they will vote for Obama just to get the GOP out of office. I mean McCain is more moderate then alot of republicans but I think people won't want to vote for him, as he might bring more conservatives into office, and people don't really want that. I also think Obama will chose Hillary as vice president. Altough she is his opponant right now he did say a while before he was running that he admires her. |
nimrodidiot Jackass ![]() Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 1747 ![]() | I think Obama will win, but he won't get too many votes in areas like the bible belt. People down here dislike him and refuse to vote for him just because he is a Muslim. It's pretty ridiculous, but besides that, he's got some pretty good ideas for the country. |
fancy pants Post Whore ![]() Age: 37 Gender: Female Posts: 22225 | nimrodidiot:Barack Obama a Christian. His father was raised Muslim but his father wasn't even religious. |
Anji Basket Case ![]() Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 15914 ![]() | Lol. If he was a Muslim, he would not be near as popular as he is now. |
Franny. Falling In Love With The Board ![]() Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 5246 | Memory Lane.: I think Edwards would make a better Vice than Clinton. I'm really torn on who will win at this moment. It'll be Obama vs. McCain, and a very tight race. I want Obama to win, but McCain is a household name, really. He's a hero, America loves heroes. And what is with this Ralph Nader announcement? His slogan should be: "Ralph Nader: Vote Stealer" |
Ol' Blue Eyes. King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 4816 ![]() | Shadow of a Doubt:Obama. He seems to be picking up in the polls and pulling ahead of Hillary. As for McCain, I don't think he'll have a chance, simply because he's republican, and I've been expecting a democrat to win after President Bush's run. |
Green_Day_nimrod. Jackass ![]() Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 1561 | I think hilary's stupid, and i agree that she'll probably end up taking orders from her husband.. I think that Obama would be a good choice for president. I also think that it would change the way that a lot of people view African-American people. I mean, they haven't had this much of a chance to gain so much political power in the history of the United States. It'd be much different if he were president, and i also think that he'd accomplish much in his term. |

Kurtni Admin ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 34289 ![]() ![]() | Green_Day_nimrod.:Hillary Clinton is anything but stupid. She's a very intelligent, successful woman who has done amazing things as a humanitarian, first lady and senator. Do I think she has what it takes to be president? No, because I disagree with some of her policies, but that doesn't make her or the people who support her stupid, just of a different opinion. |
John Entwistle Great Success! ![]() Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 55036 | Pity_The_Clever: Wow, that was harsh. ![]() Well, even though I want a Republican to win, I have a feeling they won't. You're right people are sick of Republican because of Bush. |
Franny. Falling In Love With The Board ![]() Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 5246 | Shadow of a Doubt: The Democrats can produce a Bush as well. the problem isn't in the party, it's in the person and the Congress [both parties] who gives him thumbs up. As painful as it is to say, I don't want the Republicans to be in power for the next 4 years because it's going to be McCain. I really can't see him leading the country into a more positive future. And is no one else angry/sad/annoyed by this Nader thing? Remember last time!? For all you Bush haters, you should be mad right? |
John Entwistle Great Success! ![]() Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 55036 | I have to admit, even though I want a Republican to win, I'm curious to see what would happen if a Demorcat won. Since, I've been alive there has been 4 presidents: Reagan, Bush Sr., Clinton, and Bush Jr. I don't remember anything about Reagan because he left office a few months after I was born. When Bush Sr. was president I was just a toddler. I remember the last couple of years of Clinton, but I didn't like or understand politics. When the 2000 election came I started paying alittle bit more attention to politics, but still not enough. By the time the 2004 election came around I knew I wanted Bush to win, but I didn't know why. I did just because my parents did. By 2005 I pretty much understood politics and liked them. So, my point is I have really only known Bush as president. And I'm curious to see what will happen with a Democrat as president. As for the Nader thing. I don't know anything about it. |
Ol' Blue Eyes. King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 4816 ![]() | http://www.newsweek.com/id/114725/ That was posted on the Newsweek site, and I have to agree. By bowing out now, and supporting Obama, I think she'd have a chance, assuming he didn't win again in 2012. And he'd probably pick her as his vice, as well. |
Addison Dewitt King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 30 Gender: - Posts: 3746 ![]() | Franny.: Yes I know I am harsh, its just my personality, I apologize for my genetic...um defects? ![]() I might have wanted a Republican to win, just not McCain, I'm not very fond of him, and I'm still also convinced there's a large possibility if he became president he would die in office. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Go Obama! ![]() |
