 | August 23rd, 2009 at 10:35pm I know.
It's sooo stupid.
My mother also came up with,
"it's an easyer way to have an eating disorder, takes more out of your diet"
They're sooo imature, for adults. |

I am sorry,
It's really just stupid.
You should just be able to do it, and it be because you feel it's the right thing to do. |

Nah, it's there choise on them wanting or not wanting to eat meat.
I would just like they respect my decision, as I do theirs. |

What's so hard to understand?
She's clearly a vegetarian who doesn't have much of an ethical problem with other people eating meat as long as there is mutal respect for dietary choices. It isn't such a strange idea. |

Yeah.
I can't understand that.
Like...
You eat meat.
But don't dare meet it before you eat it.
What's up with that? |

Why? So you can piss them off and make them think all vegetarians and animal rights/animal welfare people are self-righteous?
It's fine to express your opinion, but it's just immature to harass people because they don't share your ethics. Sure, when I'm talking to my friends I'll joke around with them sometimes and say things about how they're eating corpses, etc..., but that is with my friends and they know I'm joking.
Going PETA on somebody isn't going to make them change their minds or respect you. If you don't respect their beliefs, why should they respect yours?
In the end, it probably does more harm than good. |

Age: 39 Gender: Female Posts: 35331 | September 14th, 2009 at 05:03pm I was talking about my friends and family, I don't go up to random people on the street or boycott Burger King or anything. And I do it because I want to, and most of the time I get stick from them about being a veggie & have to put up with being told what a lovely, juicy beefburger they're eating, so I'm just giving a little back. |

So which is it?
If I misunderstood what you meant, I apologize. But there are a lot of people out there
I get irritated when people around me are eating meat and talking about how delicious it is, too, but, whatever. If we're at a restauarant and they're enjoying their meal, good for them. |
