This is such a disappointing turn. Obama's only got a slight lead, and Romney dropped out. The only two Republicans I actually liked, Guiliani and Romney are both gone, and if Obama doesn't get it, then I'm out of options. Molly

I'm crossing my fingers for Al Gore. Meg

Wow you and me seem to have very similar views, politics are so fucking confusing. Wall

I'm into american politics more than most americans are. I've been following Romney's campaign for a long time now as well. It's unfortunate that all the time I spent researching about him and following the headlines, he's out so early in the year *sigh* Although I'm not American [yet], I do have partial influence on a few people's votes =)

I'm happy Mitt's been out. He reminds me of John kerry in 2004. And I really don't mind McCain or even Huckabee for that matter. I don't agree with Huckabee's policies but I like how he speaks English. Most politicans never answer a question and just say something, even though it doesn't make sence. Huckabee answers every question honestly and clearly, and that's why I like him.

And then the whole presidency thing would go to waste because that is extremely similar to a monarchy, Hand do you think if he became president he would order anyone disagreeing with him beheaded?

I just hope whoever becomes president puts the war to an end, this war is going to become the story I tell over and over again to a variety of expensive therapists. Orvil

The Democrats would 'try' to put an end to the war. Their idea of ending it is to pull out the troops, but what about the country itself? Just because the Americans have left doesn't mean the terrorists will be at rest. I believe that if the war on terrorism ends, Iraq will be in a worser state than it is now.

I'm not agreeing with McCain about staying 100 years, but I think they should try the Nixon road. Strengthen the existing troops [and pay them more] and have them protect the citizens of their own country.

I don't agree with the comment about Romney being like Kerry either. Romney is more conservative [obviously] in his policies and Kerry didn't have any strong policies at all; hence Bush being able to be re-elected. I think I liked Romney because his policies were fair and seemingly effective, they were realistic.

Obama's catching up to Clinton in delegates. It's now 1100 for Clinton and 1039 for Obama. Since Romney is out, a McCain vs. Obama seems very [most] likely.

I agree with what you said about the war and us in Iraq, pulling out abruptly seems kind of irresponsible.

And McCain vs. Obama, would definately be an interesting race.

Hey when does anyone know when we know for sure who the two candidates are?

I don't know really, this is becoming a personal thing to me and a lot of people I know which politics never should be. I just want the fucking thing to stop, I've known too many people who have been blown up in Iraq, it's too much blood for my liking and of course people are going to be killed in Iraq whether American troops are there or not, I don't understand why we have to add to the chaos though. This is where I'm coming from, I just want somebody to have a lightbulb moment and cut the crap, there has got to be a better way to solve things that shoot each other's brains out. Snooty

The way I see it is if we leave, like you said the country will be worse than it is. I want the troops to come home, but I refuse to claim "defeat". Plus, then the Demoracts will think they were right.

I'm sick of the bloodshed too, but we just can't leave! After, people see what would happen having us leave, I think people would hate us more than ever!

That's how I feel anyway.

I for one have nothing wrong with defeat, too much is too much.

Maybe we should just sign a fucking peace treaty or something, as much as I love blowing everything up I have to wonder what happened to the art of negotiation. Wall

Well, that's a good point, but we tried that before we invaded Iraq. We gave Saddam over 20 years to stop, but he didn't. Obivously, he is dead now, but I highly doubt that the terrorist would negotiate. They might tells us that they want peace, but that doesn't mean it would be true. I could see Obama or Clinton (or Huckabee for that matter) sign a treaty with the terrorists and then having them attcking us a hundred times worse than 9/11. You can't negotiate with the terrorists. If anyone thinks that Bush made war his first opinion, they are totally mislead.

So about this new term "Obama-can", I'm not sure if you've heard, but it's supposed to be "Obama" and "Republican" put together. No, it's not about him being one, it's about the voter being one but rooting for Obama. It'd unfortunate that these people exist, not saying they're unfortunate, but the situation itself really. If there were solid GOP candidates or even one solid candidate for the right, these "Obama-cans" wouldn't need to exist. I really wish Romney would come back...He's not solid, but he's better than those who are left.

And onto my favorite [ex]candidate from the other side, Edwards. Who is he going to endorse? Obama's trip to visit him was cancelled today, but whenever they get together, I'm sure he'll endorse Obama -- in hopes for a VP spot that he deserves.

Is it just me or is the excitement dwindling down a bit? The GOP already have their candidate -- McCain, and the Democrats are in a dead heat that doesn't seem to show a clear winner and won't do so until one of them drops out.

And I was discussing with my friend a simple question today. Who is more evil? Bush or Cheney? We decided Cheney, but what do you think?
