Shadow of a Doubt:
See, I don't watch the news that much at all. Once it a while I'll turn it on and see what's going on. Then I read the local newspaper, which is pretty liberal. But when I'm at home my parents pretty much only watch FOX.

And that's the only paper available in your area? I live in a quite a small state, but I still have two other options for newspapers, besides the subscriptions available to newspapers in Boston, New York, and various other large cities. And while a newspaper may have a certain bias, I've never encountered one that didn't represent both sides. Perhaps not equally, but both sides were represented.

We get the New York Times and maybe some other nation newspapers, but I don't read them. I'm not sure why though.
Then, at least, the way I see it, is that you're willfully shutting out the majority of reliable sources for news. I once had a journalism teacher who told me that I should be getting my information from a number of different sources, so as not to be manipulated into believing the opinion of one source. No media type is completely reliable, hence the need to consult several different sources.

Bloodraine:
With regards to the TV station debate...All television in Britain has, by law, to be politically neutral Mr. Green It is often the subject of satire that TV shows have to be politcally balanced and can't take a particular side. So imagine that, Americans. xD
Then again we have our lovely national newspapers, which are free from such limits.

Also, as a British person (how annoying I must be to you all, keep jabbering on about Britain in an American thread xD but I think my comparisons are relevant) I would not like to have a two-party political system. On the other hand, it isn't much better in Britain. Yes, we do have a third party, but the electoral system basically screws them over. And the smaller parties don't have much of a chance. We have some Independent MPs, but only a small number. So maybe Americans don't have much of a choice. But is there genuine choice in Britain, or anywhere else for that matter?

Anyway, I'm likely to be studying American Politics and how it compares to the British system next year, so I'm finding all your comments very useful in helping me gain some knowledge for next year (y)
I always watch the BBC for news. I think it's a much better program than any option in the states.

Ok I lied I am keeping track of delegates...so in the overall race for nomination (at this moment) Obama has 1,705.5 (what the hell is the .5 for?) and Clinton 1,575.5....take 2,025 to secure the nomination......

I was watching the news and they said it would be almost impossilbe for Hillary to win the nomination. She would have to win like all the rest of the primaries. And that's very unlikely.

I'm pretty sure there's one coming up in Indiana, but I don't really know about any other states.

Primaries left

Indiana - May 6 - worth 72 delegates

North Carolina - May 6th - worth 115 delegates

West Virginia - May 13th - worth 28 delegates

Kentucky - May 20th - worth 51 delegates

Oregon - May 20th - worth 52 delegates

Puerto Rico - June 1st - worth 55 delegates, only a primary though, they don't cast electoral votes for president (obviously) Coolio

Montana - June 3rd - worth 16 delegates

South Dakota - June 3rd - worth 15 delegates

So yeah....these are just " democratic delegates " which I guess means they have nothing to do with the presidential election after the primaries....

It's going to be really close between Obama and Hillary

I totally hate the way our elections run. >_< I'm so tired of delegates and super delegates. I'm tired of electoral votes. I want everyone's vote to count.

She pissed a lot of war veterans off with that because she was using something like "dodging sniper fire" as a way to gain sympathy when she did nothing of the sort. I thought that was so disrespectful.

Coffee we can just add that to the evergrowing list of reasons as to why Hillary Clinton is dumb.

It's completely impossible for Hillary Clinton to secure the nomination even if she won the remainder of the primaries. It's been this way for awhile now and that's why it's up to the superdelegates. A 10 point margin win in Pennsylvania really didn't help that much. The only thing that's important now is the convention. Also, it'd be interesting to see who wins North Carolina because that's probably who Edwards will put his vote behind.
