Ol' Blue Eyes.:
Also, many Hillary supporters...

"Many" is an exaggeration. CNN did multiple polls and surveys that showed the majority of people would be voting for either democratic candidate. There was some PEW "study" that said %25 percent of Hillary's supporters wouldn't vote for Obama a few months ago... but that's PEW for you. Mr. Green

When it comes down to it, (Hillary's) Democrats hate republican policy more than they do Obama.

Yeah. Going from supporting Hillary to supporting a man who supports everything she doesn't seems a little extreme. If one drops out, you go for the most similar other candidate. And a while ago, everyone was freaking out because they couldn't tell the difference between Clinton and Obama's campaigns. So it would be ridiculous to switch over to supporting a conservative Republican. I don't think anyone would actually do that. Unless they were really racist and felt stronger about that than actual issues.

On taxes

All about the two of their plans for taxes and crud.

That is why I am for the Democrats, Republicans (or at least the candidates) only seem to care about the ones who are makin the fucking money. "With McCain's plan the wealthy would benefit the most."

No I hate that. What about the little guys? I dunno why everbody is telling me (at home) that raising taxes is a bad idea, because with Obama its only gonna effect the ones who deserve them. Bleh.

That's what I get for reading op-eds. Faith

Though your answer is entirely reassuring. I was quite worried for a little while.

I'm happy that a lot of Hillary fans are now supporting McCain. It just helps McCain out. Which is obviously good to me.

Have to agree with Kurtni. Recent pollings show that 53% of Clinton supporters are now backing Obama whereas McCain has only 23% of those voters.

It's great that all the polls are leaning towards Obama [47% to 42% in national polls] but come November, I really see McCain winning. As disappointing as that sounds to many of you [me too actually], it seems most likely to happen. I don't have strong evidence to back this up, but it'll be my prediction.

Having said that, go Obama?

I can't understand why they would support McCain Think

I mean, if they were backing a democratic person, and now they've dropped out, surely they should support the party and not the person? Coolio

I think it's the influence of these bands that Hardy is talking about. Which is a good point. Obama is clearly the candidate for the younger voters; he's not too old and he seems pretty "cool" [with the basketball playing]. For those young eligible voters who don't currently vote, if their favorite band says "Vote Obama", why wouldn't they?

This isn't the case for everyone, but I think it's the skin color. There are many people, who may or may not be racist, who doesn't think an african american president is a good idea [for them].

On the other hand, some of these Hillary supporters are independents and could have gone both ways. McCain has been inconsistent with his messages so these ex-Clinton supporters may be hoping he'll flop in their favor.

But one question for those who participate here. Which candidate do you think has a better economic plan? You don't have to be voting for this person if the economy is not the number one issue for you, but I'm very curious if Obama or McCain has a better plan for the economy in the voters' eyes.

In my opinion though, neither of them have a solid plan and honestly that's why I don't think either candidate is ready to be president for this coming term. At this point when gas prices are so high and are steadily increasing and Starbucks is closing 600 stores with 10000+ people soon to be out of jobs, the economy has to be the number one issue for both candidates. They should be spending their time talking about the economy and what they're going to do to help instead of bickering about religion and military track records.

Obama, just look at the man his family takes their religious advise from (and why is he going to a "christian" (if you can call it that) church when he is muslim? sounds like a case of the everyman)

hillary, i just cant stand her

And mcCain was only in the race to steal votes from the other republican candidates.

He's not a muslim, first off, and if he was, why would you discriminate against someone based on their religious beliefs? And you said he was racist, religion has nothing to do with racism.

Why? Do you have any reasons? I mean if you're going to call someone a bitch you should be able to back up what you're saying.

Well no kidding. Every candidate wants to get votes, that's how you win. In your previous post you said he was "in kahoots wit hillary", however you offered to explanation or logic as to why you think this.

I like Obama because I think he can help the country more than McCain. I just hope he doesn't pick Hilary because I really don't think she's right for it. It seems like she might try and overpower him somehow. Dno

regarding obama, it has nothing to do with his religion. Im talking about the reverand from his church, the place where we go to learn how to live our lives to best glorify god and to socialize with our brothers and sisters

these are some of the things the reverand said:
“Barack knows what it means living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people,” Wright said. “Hillary would never know that.

“Hillary ain’t never been called a nigger. Hillary has never had a people defined as a non-person.”

“Hillary is married to Bill, and Bill has been good to us. No he ain’t! Bill did us, just like he did Monica Lewinsky. He was riding dirty”

these from his PASTOR!!!

the man is an anti-white!!!

and McCain, i was about to explain, but i just lost my desire when i realized how bad i wanted a smoke. disregard my comments regarding him and hillary

Yes it does, you just said he was a muslim. Now you have completely changed subjects.

Obama has no control over anything his pastor says, and he has stopped attending that church and condemned the comments Rev. Wright made.

Yeah, you keep saying that. Coolio Why? What political issues do you have with her? This is about politics after all, not about who is more likable.

the muslim thing was discussing the fact that he was supporting two contradictory belief systems. i have nothing against muslims

as for him not knowing what his pastor would say,
thats bullshit, the pastor has been delivering sermons like that for years

as for him condemning rev. wright's words, no fuckin shit!!! only a politcal idiot would endorse something that got that much attention

and for the final time with hillary, i don't like her. she's obnoxious, and the most important thing for a president is to be charismatic. cuz in the end all they are is a scape goat.
