Or he's going to suck away John McCain's votes and increase Obama's chances. There's a fine line between Libertarians and Republicans [Ron Paul?].

But in general, I don't think Barr will be very effective or be a threat of any kind [not like Nader *gasp*]

Here's what I think about Obama....He is like Bill Clinton. He can say whatever he wants and people believe it. He manipulates easily.

He is supporting offshore drilling That's only one of the many articles there are about this topic. Flip flopping? Your call.

And I agree that he has the type of influence Bill Clinton had. He's a fantastic speaker and can easily charm a crowd.

I'll say. Coffee You know whats kinda funny? One of my older neighbors (who generally isn't really into politics) told me the only reason she decided she is going to vote for Obama is because he is considerably better to look at than McCain. Eh Her words, not mine.

Thats also kind of like when my mother said she voted for Bill Clinton because he could play the sax.

For those who don't know much about politics [a majority of Americans no offense], it's always the appearance. And Obama is definitely better looking than McCain now [I thought old school McCain was cute =P]. It'd be interesting if it were a beauty contest, Edwards and Romney...I can still dream! =P [besides the John stuff that's happening right now...he's not the baby's daddy!]

Bill Clinton is incredibly sexy though. Is it safe to say that Democratic presidents have been better looking than Republican presidents? But Reagan owns all Laughing

Flip flopping? No. Dealing with the stubborn Republicans in Congress who wont pass a comprehensive energy bill any other way? Yes.

He has never formally proposed offshore drilling himself or said he thinks its a good idea, in fact in every speech he's talked about that he said he didn't think it was the answer, he just said he COULD accept it if it got an energy bill through congress.

I'll admit, I hadn't even heard of Biden before this, but after doing a little digging, i think this may be a smart move for Obama. Biden has plenty of experiance, and definately knows his way around national politics.

Cheese i hadn't heard of him either.

Yeah, I read an article on yahoo that put him in the position of the "VP attack dog"..... i thought it was pretty funny though - Biden said something about the toughest decision McCain would have to make is which of his 7 kitchen tables he would sit at. Rolling Eyes

I'm surprised not many have heard of him [not just on here]. He ran for president coming right behind John Edwards. But I think he is the best choice for Obama considering all the other choices he had weren't good at all. They were more obscure and brought nothing to help Obama. At least Biden brings experience and shares Obama's charisma [which beats McCain's charisma Laughing]

All I have to say is...
"We can't have four more years of the last eight years."
Hillary made an outSTANDING speech last night endorsing Obama. I applauded her and her symbolism of purity and historical gestures of our country. I loved the bit where she talked about Harriet Tubman and leading the slaves to freedom with the Underground Railroad. It was really inspiring. I mean, I'm not African American, but I saw those faces in the audience as she spoke so broadly about it. "Even if you hear the dogs...keep going." "If you hear the men with their torches...keep going." Don't stop...and now we gotta "...get going to elect Barack Obama for President". It was a great symbolism and for the fact that she didn't choose any other suffragette or abolitionist except a strong black woman striving for freedom and defying the odds of woman all over this country.

Excellent Hillary.

Mother Mary:
Yes No
But then again I think Obama's reply and pretty much playing the race card is kind of ridiculous too. Faith
I think it's truly historical. An African American man running for President with such ease and understanding of the country's' policies is a candidate I would LOVE to vote for (if I was old enough obv). I mean, I know there are women who are still really distraught over Hillary not getting the spot against McCain and that it's now down to two men again but still, the Democrats have all genders and races competing with their ingenuity and their passion to fulfill all the voids left after the Bush Administration took over for the last eight years. I'm not here for a raging debate but I think it's very inspiring what the Democrats have been working with the past year.

Ok, you people need to get something straight! HE IS HALF BLACK! Not 100% black. Yes, we have never had a half black person get this far in a Presidental election, but if he wins he WILL NOT be the first black president. He will be the first HALF BLACK president.

All right, sorry. I'm not flipping out at what you said.
Can't I merely state the pros of the situation?
