The way in which John McCain said 'he's not an Arab, he's a decent citizen' was unfortunate, but it seems to reflect a wider view that if Obama was to be a Muslim, it would be something awful and something to be ashamed of. As a scare tactic, I think it's very below the belt. Not least because if Obama was a Muslim, it would be no bad thing. It would probably be a good thing, given that it might promote some wider cultural understanding and would probably improve relations with the Arab world. But as he isn't, it doesn't really matter.

Of course, I didn't like what were saying, but whatever. I got some pictures. They all turned out incredibly shitty though. That's the best one.
