I love meat, especially chicken! But its Lent and its Friday, so I can't eat meat today.
That has nothing to do with vegetarianism.
I have to be a vegetarian on Fridays because it's Lent and it's hard. I love meat too much. You can choose to be a vegetarian, but I love my meat so all the more for me. There that's what I sumed up in two sentences.

Depends on how strict you are really.
I know when I was a Catholic, the only day we couldn't eat meat was Good Friday. It's changed a lot from when my mother was a kid; they were very strict, they never ate meat on a Friday. Ever.
Still, this is more religious doctrine than vegetarianism

I just know when I was a kid it didn't matter if the kids ate meat because we were kids. But then when we got to a certain age we couldn't eat it. But you're right it is more religious than vegetarianism. I'm not sure why I said that. I guess I was just mad I couldn't eat meat.
And I just realized I accidently ate meat today (or yesterday). I was fine all day, but then I ate a Slim Jim. Oops.
The only meat I eat is chicken, and sometimes I don't even like that ;(
I've always said I wanted to be a vegetarian by the time I was 18, but haha @ that fail
I really wish I could give it up. ;( But, stupid question, it there different types of vegetarian that DOES eat like, one type of meat?
not exactly. I eat shellfish (clams, mussels, oysters, etc) and shrimp. no fish or lobster or any of that other stuff though.
But really, if you find it extremely hard to give up one kind of meat, I think it's alot better than nothing to only eat that type of meat instead of not even trying a semi-vegetarian style at all.
I mean, you can just tell people you're a semi-vegetarian.
Flexitarianism - Mostly avoiding all meat, but eating it under some situations.
Mafism - Mammalian meat is excluded, but fish, seafood and poultry are not.
Pollotarianism - Mammalian meat, fish, and seafood is excluded, but chicken or other poultry is not.
Pescetarianism - Mammalian meat and poultry is excluded, but fish and seafood are not.
My boyfriend's family are pescetarian and I stay at his house a lot, and therefore eat there a lot - they're all incredibly healthy and I've never felt like I'm 'missing out'. I think you've just got to be careful to eat a varied diet to get enough nutrients
Saying that, the second my boyfriend can choose his food (when we're at school or we go out) he eats really unhealthy, haha. Maybe rebelling against growing up so healthy?
Also, my boyfriend's Mum just had a baby and is feeding her a completely vegetarian diet until she's old enough so choose for herself whether she wants to eat meat/poultry/fish or not. I think that's lovely
'Mafism - Mammalian meat is excluded, but fish, seafood and poultry are not.' This best describes my diet - that'd make me a... mafist?
