Why Don't You Believe?

I don't believe in any one religion.
I think the vague idea of religion may have a basis in fact.
I think there is some higher force/power.
I also think we are all one part of this force/power....

I'm not insulting her over what religion she is a part of. She was just offended because of something another person had said so asked her why she came in here, considering a lot of people were going to say things like the one she had commented. She can read whatever thread she wants. Everyone can, but why come in to one that you might get offended over?

Well, I just read the rules again, and it doesn't say anything about a person's right not to be offended. (In my mind, nobody has that right anyway.)

However, this Tommy idiot broke one of the rules/guidelines when he just started spewing out slurs that attacked people, not arguments.

1.] How can you trust the bible if it's written by man who are sinners?

2.] Christians are told they have free will. 'Do what I say or die and burn in hell.' That doesn't sound like free will to me.
My question : God forgives everything. So why would we ever burn or got to hell?

Mine doesn't do that, but she beleives. So she's afraid for me. But I don't know how to explain that I don't really believe in God as the bible describes him. I believe in a certain force, but not one that will punish me.

Correction: It is against the rules to say something that would directly offend a person. Religious slurs included. Which is why Nick mentioned pages back that he wished he could still ban--it's against the rules.
So you're right to say that no one should be offended by anything here in theory, but in reality...the fact is, they are.
I'm always offended by religious slurs. Of any kind. I'm not religious.
