Yes, Indiana didn't really do her too much good, she's still behind in overall delegates.

Yeah, they keep talking about it on the news. tehe Everyone agrees that she should just drop out now. But it's clear that she's not planning to.

Ahh, I love Jon Stewart. He asked Barack if he thinks Hillary would still be running for president when he's giving his inauguration speech if he gets elected.

I've heard that Obama doesn't have much of a chance of winning against McCain though. Orvil

I heard it the other way around. I heard the Republicans want her to win the nomination because they think McCain beat her. And being a Republican, I think so too. My dad think what you said though. I would rather have Hillary as president than Obama. My parents and I never thought we would say that, but we all agree.

lmfao Omg, I adore John Stewart.

Do you guys think Obama will put her on the ticket as vice president? I read an editorial that said he'd be better served not putting her on the ticket at all, and picking someone else.

I dont think Hillary will want to be on the ticket as Vice. If she doesn't win this election, I have a feeling we'll be seeing her next election year.

She hinted at them running together before. But she said she was the one who should be the president. Obviously. But ugh.

I think it would have been a smart idea a few months ago if she dropped out and became Obama's vice. But she keeps talking so much shit about him and she keeps wasting everyone's money by staying in the elections. It would definitely be better for Obama to pick someone else (Bill Richardson ftw! Haha. That's really unlikely, though). I really think Obama will become president, though. I think that coming out of 8 years of Bush, McCain won't have enough supporters to win.

My political science teacher brought up an interesting point. Our president has always been an older white male. Always. He also brought up the point that since the development of television, our president has also been mildly good-looking. Never balding, never overweight.

I wonder if voting patterns really are dominated by those two things, you know?

Bill was overweight, but he's slimmed down now. But Gore was in good shape and is mildly more attractive than Bush, and he still lost. Although the point about an older white male winning is very true. But when was the last time either a woman or an african american ran for president and had any chance at all to win the nomination? I can't remember honestly.

If Americans wanted white male, good looking, not balding, and not overweight, they should've voted for Edwards vs. Romney. I've always been for that match up.

So who's America's next president? None of them fit the descriptions above [McCain is closest with being old and white].

Obama never intended on picking Clinton as his VP and he's hinted this many times so her dropping out would not have benefited her. She's staying in because Obama is not a definite winner yet, there's a very slim chance she'll win, but she's sticking around to find out. She's not spending as much as Obama so she really doesn't have that much to lose at this point to stay in the game.

It'd be nice if Obama did become to president, but judging by patterns [like those in the above quote], McCain is more likely to win. He's the American hero with real experience and he simply looks more American than Obama.

I'm not saying the United States is full of racists, but to answer the ongoing question, "Is America ready for a black president?" I don't think so. He's still too young-looking and inexperienced. America needs change but there's no room for trial and error. McCain's policies are eerily similar to those of Bush, but he's the more familiar character and people always vote for the "safer" choice.

I'm so bored of the primaries. The states go back and forth and it's just making the tie a bigger tie. Clinton apparently has a large lead in West Virginia right now [hmm I wonder why?] but on the day of the results may be different. I can't trust polls anymore. They often contradict themselves.

I think America IS ready for a black president. If they weren't, I think Hillary would have a bigger chance to get the nomination right now. The color of a person's skin doesn't decide who's the most capable person for the job. I know that not all people realize that. But I think enough people do. Otherwise he wouldn't be this far along in the game. I think he has a really good chance of winning the presidency. Especially because a lot of republicans even hate McCain and would rather vote for Obama.

We'll see how things go.

And you know, I think I can see that, my Algebra teacher is a Republican, and he said he wasn't even going to bother voting because he had wanted Huckabee. File

I think America is ready for a black president also, we're not nearly as primitive minded as we were before. Rolling Eyes

I'm not trying to offend anyone, but my parents said that if Obama is elected, I can kiss my future away.

Why? Because he wants to raise taxes and have National Healthcare. I'm not infavor of raising taxes and my parents explained what NH was. And after hearing what it's all about, I don't like it at all. It's sounds good, but it's definitely not.

Everything Obama says just sounds bad. You guys must be very liberal because you all act like Hillary and McCain are the devil. McCain should not even consider himself a Conservative 'cause he's not one. That's why I don't understand why you guys hate him so much.

^ And my mother used to tell me that if I blew at the stop light when it was red it would turn to green faster Rolling Eyes...but apparently just because I believed it didn't mean it was true.

And last time I checked, wasn't he only raising taxes for the people who are making more, and cutting them for the poor and middles class?

Plus, I'm fucking relying on somebody to do something about the whole health care issue, if Obama becomes president and his plan goes through that means my family can actually be insured for the first time since my older brother was born. Faith It may not be all that good to you, but I personally think it depends on a person's situation who they support.

I can't understand why some delegates count and others don't, isn't the whole idea of democracy that everyone has a voice :/

The delegates that aren't counting don't count because the primaries violated rules. They knew what would happen when they moved their primaries up.

I think it's really stupid, too. Delegates AND electoral votes are completely pointless and they make it so people's votes don't count. They need to just go by popular vote.
