I have more hair than any woman should.
Wtf there's no such thing. If your body has the hair then obviously nature thinks you should have it. How much hair a woman should have is just the shit everyone's been brainwashed with.

It's definately a personal choice, whether you like it or not.
I personally don't enjoy it all too much.
I don't even like hairy men.
Specially under the pits. ew.
And I mean, men have like a jungle under there @_@
Omg yes.

I feel that I "look after myself" so men can try as well. Cool

you don't have to.
but if that's the case, why do women wear make-up? or even take showers on a regular basis?
i think most of them do it because it makes them feel better about themselves, not because they feel like they have to.

people like to feel like they can be touched. soft skin is a lot more comforting than hairy skin, in my opinion.

I don't see how you can compare "showering" to "shaving".
Try to not shower for a month.
I don't think the result will be as bad as not shaving for a month.

they're both things you don't necessarily have to do.

My cousin didn't want to shower some time ago.. He only put himself under the shower and waited. He didn't wash anything.
3 months later, his mother forced him to go have a haircut.
But he didn't want anyone to touch his hair.
He finally went there and the hairstylist wanted to shave his hair 'cause he started having alopecia areata.

But try if you want to, you'll see.. File

If you didn't bathe, you'd become invested with bacteria, get ill and die ~~ if you don't shave, that doesn't happen.... not the same thing.

I'm not being a smart ass O_O You were making an unfair comparison and I pointed it out. You can't compare shaving and bathing, they're two totally different things. Don't call me a smart ass because you made inaccurate statements.

alright, fine.
women do extra things to make themselves feel more comfortable with their looks, so if they stop shaving, why should they bother to put on make-up, cut their hair, dress in nice clothes, etc.?

Because they want to? Men typically do shave. They still dress in nice close and get hair cuts, some wear make up. I don't see your point. You can't generalize an entire genders habits like that, it's all personal choice. If someone wants to wear make up because they like to, but they don't like to shave,I really see no harm in that.

Whoa, guys... I just meant that I, personally need to shave every other day or I'll be really hairy. That's just how I feel. I didn't mean that I literally HAD to or that someone was making me, I just feel more comfortable doing it every other day.

I didn't think I was going to start a whole debate, lol.

the majority of women do care about their looks a lot more than the majority of men do. of course, there's personal choice, but in this situation, personal choice follows statistics more often than not.
there's no denying that.

Well, your ethnicity has something to do with it too.

I mean, I'm Italian, and because of that I have hairier arms than most women, but it's not overly disgusting.

I think that it's a person's choice, but our society today has placed this image of beauty in our minds. People try to get rid of their hair because it "looks better", but it's a natural thing that people just don't want anymore.
