i think the idea of a set age for having sex is rediculous. people have their own minds and their own morals, and they can decide when they think they're ready. besides, sex is one of those things that has been blown out of proportion over the course of all of human existence. no one will give a shit a few centuries from now, i bet.
Just because a ten year old thinks they are ready to have sex does not mean that their judgment is correct. That is why there is a legal age of consent. Because just because young teens (even older teens) think they are adults, doesn't mean they are. Having sex when you are very young can psychologically scar you for life.

yes because the people we were talking about on the other disscusion was about ADULTS, and i believe that the age of concent should be 18 and not 16.

You're nervous, its the first time getting really personal with another person. What if you won't want someone to get that personal with you? What if you regret it? What if you don't like him/her, what if you were pressured into it, what if you thought you loved him/her, you really did love him/her, but as soon as it was over with, he/she dumped you?
These are all ways it can scar you for life.
And, don't offend anyone, ok? You may not agree with her, but don't say that.
Also, its something you'll remember forever, espically if you regret it, and when you regret it, and cant stop thinking about it, thats when it scars you for life.
i don't care if young kids have sex, as long as they're physically ready for it, meaning they finished puberty and use protection
i have to admit, though, pregnancy amongst teens is ridiculous..my cousin is 19 years old and has a baby on the way..kids are just..wild

yes i am 110% sure that i see sex differantly when i was younger, i am now well older, and sex isnt somthing to be played with lightly under no curcumstances, i wish i waited until i was older, but i was young and foolish (not calling every young person foolish befor i get we're not fooliosh thrown at me)
