What Has Green Day done for you?/ being punk?

I used to be less interested in music. Except for Eminem, Anti-Flag, Areosmith, The Ramones, Nelly Furtado, Christina Agulaira and Mary kate and Ashley...
I was a little confused about music, anyway.

Green Day also made me want to wear black all the time and dye my hair black

But after overcoming the obsession I realize i had to go through it for the greater good, because now my musical interests are a lot more diverse.
And my hair was dyed back.

They introduced me to a lot of older awesome bands that I might not have gotten into on my own, i.e, the Clash and about 23848 more. Also they taught me it's easy to write a song, you really only need three chords. And I must admit they've made me swear more, but that was bound to happen eventually.

Green Day gave me some good music to listen to.
And im not punk.

THEY MADE ME FEEL BETTER AND STUFF. B)

they made me understand why I hate politics

i don't consider GD punk and i don't listen to other punk bands.

Green Day have helped me cope with so many difficult times, there are too many to count. They make me remember that even when it seems like my world is over, someone out there cares, and that they know how I feel. They've also given me more courage, and I've come out of the shy shell I've had my entire life. Now I don't care if I'm a dorky punk loser, because that's just who I am, and I don't even want to be friends with the "cool popular" people.

Being punk has also let me use my creativity to its full potential, and I no longer care if I see people talking about me or pointing. Sitting with my two friends alone from everyone else at lunch doesn't bother me a bit B)

they made me realise that you have to fight for what you want and dontgive in and now i dont quit at anything.

And they got me into rock music, so yeahhh.

Green Day has made me more open about who I am and made my "Fuck it" attitude just, I dunno, develop. They also opened the door to a whole new area of music.

And they took me away from Disney Channel.

Green Day gave me a whole diferent look on the world.
They saved me from myself, and i believe that if they werent around i would have killed myself. i know that that is a serious concept but its true.

Got me into all the bands I like today. I owe my life to them

Well, Green Day's done a lot for me, but GSB's a big part of it too. My first album was Nimrod... and, yeah, I've been a huge fan since, but when I found GSB, I got more into watching band interviews and seeing what their influences were, all the bands THEY listened to, and it's gotten me into a lot of good music.

For "punk"... I would have to be the sorriest-ass punk there ever was. I'm not only into punk. I like rap, R/B, rock... nearly everything, but a big cut of it's rap.

they've helped me trough hard times. also, i used to be preppy XP and i used to kinda change for my boyfriends so they'd like me more, but then i started lisetn' to GD and stuff and the kinda told me screw everyone elses opinon and live for wat u believe in....
yeah that's my story ^.^

They've got me into music deeply, and inspired me to write my on songs, and play more instruments.

green day is the only band that cheers me up when im in a bad mood.

I started really getting into music and making my own sence of what I like and what I dont like. I liked their type of music and I started listening to rock music and other rock bands.

I couldnt really say that Im a punk and Im not trying to be, but I found myself in punk music and in punk ideology.

They helped me become the superhero I thought I could be.
