Tré's Support System

Lovable drummer Frank Edwin Wright III (Also known as Tré Cool) was born in Frankfurt on December 9th, 1972, and is the youngest member of Green Day. He later grew up in a remote rural area known as Iron Peak, 18 miles outside of Laytonville, California.

Tré has two older siblings, one sister who is named Lori. Tré has at least one cousin, Bex, who appears on the VH1 documentary Driven. His father, Frank Edwin Wright II, was a former Vietnam pilot who also had a talent for building houses and also owned a small trucking company, where he commandeered a used bookmobile for use as a tour bus, and even served as the driver on three separate tours in the early days.

Tré married his girlfriend Lisea Lyons in March of 1995. Lisea is a talented photographer who works in New York City. She was born in 1971 in Saint Petersburg, Florida. She earned an undergraduate degree in English Literature in 1992 whist studying at Tulane University, which is in New Orleans. After earning this degree, Lisea moved to San Francisco, which is presumably where she met her future husband. She has previously studied at California College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland, and gained a Master of Fine Arts in 2001 at San Francisco Art Institute. She once came in at Third Place on The Photo Review annual juried show, which takes place at the University of the Arts, Philadelphia.

On January 12th, 1995, Ramona was born. Named after Tré's hero Joey Ramone, Tré's daughter now lives in New York with her mother (this is documented in the song Homecoming, particularly in the section Rock and Roll Girlfriend which appears on the American Idiot album). Ramona also features prominently in her mother Lisea's artwork. Tré is also godfather to both of Billie Joe's children, as once it was questioned whether he could have children or not. Lisea and Tré have since separated but are still on good terms. Once Ramona was born, Tré had to calm down and cut loose some of his wild ways. He once spoke about fatherhood in an interview, stating, "You just can't pull out the gun and blow the TV away anymore, 'cause the baby might be sleeping". Fatherhood appears to have had a maturing effect on Tré.

In March, 2000, Tré married a woman named Claudia. This did not last long, and they soon separated in 2003. However, they have remained on good terms and still live together in Oakland, as they feel it is the best way to raise their young son, Frankito (which means Little Frank). Tré recently dated Donna C (real name Tony Castellano), the drummer from the all-girl rock group The Donnas. Although Tré has spent recent times being single, he was spotted with a new girlfriend at The 48th Annual Grammy Awards. Little is known about her to date, but more information may come to light about her in the future. Her name is rumored to be Megan.
