GSB is safe. Meeting up with GSBians is probably safe, because the people on GSB are all normal like Sam or someone. The people on [url]www.pleaserape.me/iam/dumb.php [/url] or some other site might not be safe or normal.

x_x I'm glad that site doesn't exist. But there are weird sites... like the biggest teenage communites are unsafe, becuase they are gigantic. o_o I mean, MySpace is incredibly scary.

My best friend; she's had MySpace for less than a month. She's been speaking to a guy on there for less than 2 weeks. He's nearly 17. They were planning to meet up and have sex. Now this is a 15 year old girl I've known since the age of 10, and it really fucking creeped me out.

I think it's definately safer than going up to a stranger on a road and giving out personal information. Anyway, that's not why we're all here. We're supposed to be here because of the one thing that ties all of us together...GREEN DAY! I mean, imagine going up to a strange and just talking about Green Day. Yeah, I like the internet better.

My son was talking to some guy from the states and he was saying things like oh i cant wait to meet you i think i love you. Then i blocked him from his contacts, meet him my butt i would kill him.

its dangerous!! I read the paper somtimes and i see all the adverts in there and theya re told that if you meet some one allways tell some one else where you are, what tiome you will be back and NEVER go away from the place your suppose to be and NEVER be back late.

the advertisement in newspapers and mags really scare me, i was reading an article in ... i dont remeber what..anyway there were the guys(and women too) who took pictures of their children naked and posted thier pictures all over the internet. those people are the same people who have been caught impersonating young people and getting them to meet up with them...i almost started crying it freaked me out so much

the problem with the internet is that it is bassically an open book that you can post anything on and we should report any obscene pics to your service provider. And the police who are then aware at least of what is on there.

the police officers were forced to look at the [child] pornography so that they could find clues as to where these clidren are. they arrest their parents (or take them into custody until further evidence is shown) and take the children away from the environment that is bad. some of the police officers asked to be off the case because they couldnt bear to look at the pictures..thats so sad but if it wasnt for the internet they wouldnt have caught them

but then again if it wasnt for the net the pictures wouldnt be there either but they did find out that the people who posts the picturs are also child molesters

in the past week i've gotten at least 10 IMs on AIM from people i don't know wanting to chat with me, and asking for personal information.

I think teenagers are underestimated. We're not as gullible as some think (*cough*parents*cough*). Like on myspace, when we get a freind request, we don't just accept them off the bat. We look at their profiles to see if we know them or why they wanted to befreind you in the first place, and then you make a decision on whether to accept them or not. With me, it's mostly GD people who befreind me, so I've never denied anyone, but still. I think we are majorly underestimated and not that gulible to believe it all the time.

Personally, I think the whole "talking online is dangerous" stuff is crap. Sure, it can be dangerous, but if your dumb enough to give your personal info to someone you don't know that you've met online you should get kicked in the face. Usually when someone i don't know IMs me I just ask them who the fuck they are then block them. Simple as that.

Chatting online is a pasttime activity, and like most things in life, it comes with a responsibility. That responsibility being that you protect yourself and not give out any important information.
