Only dumb teenagers get stalked.

Cupid Stunt:
You just need the common sense not to give you your address or phone nubmer.

Exactly.

Of course its dangerous. You don't really truly know who you're talking to unless you've met them in person (And by that I mean friends you know in real life who go to the same places online), which I don't not recommend meeting anyone!! A person you talk to could be just anybody, even criminals, rapists, etc...

If you just talk online, is not as dangerous as meeting with that person. You can't exactly know who that person is.

lmfao lmfao lmfao
Or that.
But seriously, I don't think some 90 year old hag who farts out dust is even a threat.
I'd be more worried about the fact that the person you talk to could be someone dnagerous. I've had even friends (not anymore friends of mine) act like they were crazed idiots online. You just don't know, and you certainly can't trust.

my parents made out to me that talking to
random ppl online is dangerous and they
were even more outraged to heart that i
wanted to meet up with one of these people
i heard all sorts about the dangers but when
i acually met this person he was just who he
said he was acually he was a thousand times
better and i owe it on to gsb for introducing me
to Embarassed teh love of my life Embarassed

but meh yea talking to ppl online can be
dangerous ive spoken to some freaks in
the past asking to come visit me telling
me they love me ...can i strip for them
blah blah blah but i had enough sense
to block them on msn and just ignore there
other messages i mean.....i think everyone
has the sense to do that

ye theres cautions to take online but dont
like rules and danger stop you from living
a life its so much easier to get to know
people on the internet because its easier
to show emotion easy to tell people stuff
without being embaressed or scared cause
your not face to face

You haven't?? Shocked

An IP address is a number that computers use to communicate with each other on a network. Your computer has its own unique IP address that people can look at, and I suppose it could be used to track you down.

If they have the programs, they can find out your credit card information, where you live, your phone number, what your name is, everything. And if they are clever enough they can move the mouse on your screen around, them being somewhere completly different. They can move folders in your computer, and delete them, and make them.

But, if I said that people should never meet online people, anything like that I would feel like a massive hypocrite. Because in 6 days I am meeting about 6 people off this site.

Just don't meet people you talk to online. It's easy really. If they get annoyed at you for not wanting to meet tell 'em to fuck off.

It's as dangerous as you make it.
if you post online everything about you and get into really tight realationships with people,
then your fixin to have yourself found in backalley or ditch somewere killed and raped.
it's common sence really, don't put your life story on the internet.

Nothing that the media says is dangerous is as dangerous as it actually is.

Fear is the easiest form of control, especially when dealing with an ignorant sheeple populace.

So all the rape victims, abducted children, muder victims, people who have their identity robed, thats not dangerous? Your a brave person then.

Is that what the discussion is about? Whether or not it is dangerous? No.
No it isn't.
Do you have consistent trouble determinging this sort of thing?

Of course its dangerous. Its just not as dangerous as society portrays it, not EVERYONE on the internet is trying to kill you. That's what we're debating. Not "Is it dangerous?" but "Is it as dangerous as society says it is?"

I know what we are debating, that plays a key role in this discussion. Your saying that all the things stated before are not as dangerour as the media claims? Rape seems pretty dangerous to me, so does murder, child abduction? Yeah, I take those all seriously, becuase they are dangerous, as the media has said.
