Exactly the same with me. I love AI but I like Bush. Green Day will never change my mind. Only Bush will. And he hasn't done that yet.

my parents hated bush, back when it all started...and since i was so young and confused i just followed what they said about him, but i still hate him to this day because i think hes made some bad choices for this country and is fucking stupid....but i dont hate him because of green day

I hated him before AI.
He was the one that got my dad sent to Iraq for a whole year.

Then he came back for 6 months and left again on my birthday..

I used to think they had an influence on people's ideas but not anymore. They didn't change my idea about Bush.

i believe that most of the world is influenced by the media and some people do only hate Bush because Green Day does. However, some people have their own minds and can think for themselves. I don't hate Bush just because Green Day told me to but they did open my eyes a bit to what was going on in the world and what my country was doing. I mean before the whole American Idiot phenomenon i just went along with what my family believed, and Green Day came at me with a completely different view and made me reevaluate what i really believed.
