considering her IQ, it wasn't too bad, but if it had been anyone else performing as she did i would have called it a disaster. just low expectations, really. |

=D You liked that? That's just what candidates say when they run out of things to talk about.... it's not exactly good rhetoric. |

Whats george bush doing ? is john mccain talkig his place or something ? sorry i'm not very good with american politics, democracy is so confuding sometimes George Bush has served his two terms as president, and in the US a President can only serve for two terms. So currently there is an election going on (actual voting occurs in November) to see who will be the next President for a term. (Term=4 years) |

 | October 6th, 2008 at 05:08pm OK, so! Watching the Graham Norton Show, seems like an unlikely place to pick up news on the U.S. elections, but it's surprisingingly leant itself to the occasion. With Harry Shearer as a guest, he made an exxcellent point. Whatever Sarah Palin has learnt in journalism and communication Bachelor, she doesn't actually use any of that in her speeches, debates, interviews, etc.
Her image is of the beauty pagent contestant, and now that someone else has said it, it's so clearly true. That is exactly how she responds to questions, vaguely breifing the subject in no real depth with no actual intellectual input. All her strategies for answering questions comes from her years as a beauty pagent contestant. And that worries me. I don't think even Americans deserve someone as thick and self-absorbed as a pagent girl to run their country.
Hilarious observation on the part of Harry Shearer, though. Looking forward to Palin jokes on The Simpsons.
Anyone else see Homer 'voting' for McCain? Absolutely hilarious. |
